Dr Malini is commencing her integrative/functional clinical practice at Next Practice West End in September 2024. As she is returning from maternity leave, she will be available on Mondays and Wednesdays and slowly increasing her hours.
At the practice of Dr. Malini Bose, we strive to provide the highest standard of care to our patients. Due to her subspecialization training and expertise in integrative and functional medicine, her fees are higher than those of standard general practice consultations.

Initial New Patient Consultation (60 minutes) + 15 minutes with nurse
This consultation allows for a thorough review of your medical history and presenting symptoms provided that you fill in the new patient questionnaire and submit it at least 48 hours PRIOR to the appointment. This is so that Dr Bose can review your medical history and save you a lot of time during the consultation.
You will be asked to see the nurse prior to seeing Dr Bose. This is so that the nurse can conduct some initial observations such as blood pressure, and heart rate as well as measurements such as height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference. She will double check with you and update the patient file with your latest medical history/medications/allergies and liase with the patient advocates (reception staff) if there are any previous investigation results/reports to chase that have not already been provided by yourself.
Follow-up consultation
Any subsequent consultation can range from 30-45 minutes and will be determined based on the complexity of your investigation results and management plan. This is so that Dr Bose has adequate time to review and discuss any results of investigations with you, implement further treatment plans and check on your progress.
Only on occasion may this appointment be 15 minutes. Dr Bose likes to practice in an unhurried manner as she wants to provide the space for you to feel heard.
Iron Infusion
Dr Bose can carry out iron infusions in the practice. However, at this stage she will only do so for her existing patients. There are other GPs available at Next Practice who can also do iron infusions and accept patients who are not their regular patients.
Payment
Dr. Malini Bose's practice is a private billing practice, and full payment is required at the time of consultation.
Pathology/Imaging Testing
It is important to note that in addition to routine investigations to assess your symptoms and conditions, there may be other out of pocket costs associated with more functional/integrative investigations such as advanced hormonal panels and comprehensive stool analyses. You will be informed in advance about any potential out-of-pocket costs associated with these tests.
Supplementation
Dr Bose utilises many treatment options as part of your management plan including various supplementation. She has carried out significant research over the years and continues to do so to recommend the best types of supplementation for you. Depending on your conditions and symptoms, you may be recommended to take some of these supplements for at least 6-8 weeks at the lowest and most effective dose to gain any benefit. As a result, there will be an additional cost to consider in addition to her consultation fees.
